The ship's A.I., Ark, was forced to cut their losses and seal off the unharmed top level of the Atrium and everything above it, but initial casualty estimates for humans are coming in at over 87%. Emergency power is kicking in, but the pokemon box system has crashed, potentially taking thousands more lives with it. The ship lurches and groans at random like an anxious volcano, and these people who have lived their entire lives in space are suddenly faced with how very, very far they are from help.
Venturing into the bottom two-thirds of the ship sounds like suicide, yet as survivors hobble together a base in the foodcourt, it's clear that if they don't act fast and act smart, the death toll will keep climbing.
